Volunteer Your Time & Talents
There are many ways you can help support the programs of POWER through volunteering your time and talents. Examples of volunteer activities include:
- Administrative support – Direct service with families
- IT support – Fund Development
Support Us Financially
Financial donations are always welcomed:
- Consider scheduling automatic deductions to make regular, monthly contributions.
- Make a pledge through your employer’s United Way payroll deduction plan, Agency # 1256. Outside of Washtenaw County, designate donation to: ”POWER Washtenaw County”.
- Donate using Pay Pal.

What your dollars can buy:
$10 helps purchase light snacks for our financial literacy workshop
$20 helps to secure a credit report for a family seeking to get out of debt
$50 helps purchase a monthly bus pass to help a client get to work
$100 helps a family of 4 buy emergency groceries
$250 helps secure 10 therapy sessions for a low-income family
$500 helps 4 low-income families access emergency funds to prevent eviction, or utility shut off
$1,000.00 helps 1 homeless family with move-in costs (security deposit, first month’s rent, moving van)
