Youth Advisory Committee
Project Impact
Project Impact is designed to empower and develop the leadership abilities of area youth. The core leadership group is called the Youth Advisory Committee, which consists of at least 5 youth from 9th through 12th grades. Each committee member undergoes an application and interview process in order to be selected to serve on to the Advisory Committee. The Committee then votes and elects a President, Vice President, and Secretary to serve for at least one year.
The committee meets every 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month on strategies to address the growing issues that our teens face daily. Each committee member is paid a monthly stipend for participation.

Current Projects
The Committee recently developed a Summer Leadership Camp for middle school youth which included substance abuse prevention, violence prevention, internet safety, and leadership skill building workshops. Various professionals from the community came in and facilitated the discussions. The Advisory Committee facilitated team-building activities, drama presentation, music, and dance groups during each session.
